MISS SWIFT BREAKS THROUGH
A positive front running ride from Billy Egan saw Miss Swift defy all challenges to secure her first victory at Kilmore on Friday.
The daughter of Almanzor was stepping up to 1457m following two 1000m runs to start her campaign.
"The step up in trip definitely helped her dominate the race as she was able to get an uncontested lead and she gave a really good kick," Egan said post race.
"Even though the second horse loomed up she was always holding a margin and I feel she has improvement as she floated when she was out in front by herself."
The three-year-old filly will now step up in grade and Egan is confident she can continue her good form.
"She feels like a confidence horse and today's experience will help her greatly."
