MISSION ACCOMPLISHED BY FIRST TIMER

Ready To Run purchase Mongolian Mission started his career in perfect fashion on Saturday at Wangaratta with an excellent win.

The son of Dubious settled just off the speed before making his run in the middle of the track to secure the 1100m victory.

Jockey Liam Riordan was complimentary of the debut winner.

"It was a good effort as he was still green, but he knuckled down when it mattered and got the result we were after," Riordan said.

The three-year-old is the second winner for trainer Danny O'Brien from the 2024 New Zealand Bloodstock Ready To Run sale, both having the Mongolian moniker in their names.

"It's been a great start to our partnership with some new clients so hopefully we can keep the ball rolling as they have some nice horses in our stable," O'Brien said.
