NUCLEAR POWER SOURCE

Going Nuclear overcame a tough wide run to dig deep and score at Cranbourne on Good Friday evening.

A late pick-up ride for jockey Billy Egan, the hard-working in-form hoop was able to extract everything out of the three-year-old to land the maiden victory.

"I was keen to get on board this horse as I rode the stablemate against him last prep. I was following him in the run that day and he left me behind, and I didn't mind the horse was on , so I good work by my manger to get me on him tonight," Egan said post race.

"We didn't have the best run getting stuck deep, but he relaxed beautifully and when the other horse off his back rushed up to us, he was in for the fight.

"It was a win full of merit and I will be sticking with him going forward for sure."
