TRIPOLI TAKES LATE SPLIT TO LAND STABLE TREBLE

Lightly-raced stayer Tripoli scored her second career victory thanks to a weaving, heart-in-your-mouth ride from Ben Allen to register a treble for the Danny O'Brien stable at Kyneton on Tuesday.

It looked as if the daughter of Crowded House was going to be the hard luck story of the 1875m BM58 event, until Allen was able to surge her into the clear to land victory within the shadows of the post.

The win followed on from the stable's three-year-old filly winners earlier on the program - the ultra-impressive debutant Maracana and Oaks bound Kapalua Sunset,  who streeted her rivals by 7 lengths.
